Do we believe what Jesus never taught?

That’s a question for all church goers: are there
doctrines and teachings we believe from God? Has
Jesus ever taught them? The 4 ones mentioned here
are not Biblical, but still are often times presented in
churches as the “word of god”.
4 fake teachings Jesus never taught
God is obliged to answer your prayer, just because
you petitioned Him
Some of the “faith” preachers say that God is under an
obligation to answer your prayer, but they forget one
thing. He can say “yes”, “no” or “wait”. God is
sovereign. He hears our pleas just because He is kind
and merciful, and He always knows the right answer.
He does what is good for us, even if His answer does
not fall in line with our desires and plans. No amount
of prayer can get the God to do what you want. The
only way to get all your prayers answered in a positive
way is to pray by His will!
God teaches us to submit to all the authorities
The first Christians were judged and murdered
because they refused to submit to ungodly
authorities. Paul says that he tries to please God
instead of men. Surely, there are passages that teach
us to respect men in power, but not all of them.
Christians should be the salt of the world opposing
the evil. These days, churches in the Western world
try to use these scriptures to justify their compliance
with the laws on homosexuality. That clearly is not
the time to obey nations’ leaders!
You get sick because you sin
Any trouble in your life comes from the devil and
because of sin. That is not true. Bible tells us many
times that the righteous people have trouble in life,
but God delivers them. Job had trouble, Jesus had
trouble, and all the apostles had trouble. This
teaching is ungodly, as it perverts the truth of God
and makes a lie out of it. This is why many godly men
and women do not get comfort from the church but
get the reproached for their sins instead.
Women should not use makeup and jewelry
In the epistle of Peter, he says some words that may
create the impression. However, in the Bible even in
the Old Testament, when God talks about his “wife”
Israel, He mentions giving her various ointments for
her body and jewelry for a nice look. He talks about
earrings, rings, jewels and even nose rings. Bible
never forbids women to use these things, but it urges
them to build up their inner beauty first and keep up
the body to match it.
As you can see, some of the teachings in our
churches have nothing to do with the Biblical truth.
Jesus has never taught these things.
