When most people hear ‘snake,’ they either panic or
quickly take to their heels because snakes are widely
known as poisonous species. But for centuries, the
reptile has also served as a source of protein for many
people and even used for herbal purposes.
In a recent post on lindaikeji.com, one Emeka Okudo
shared photos via Facebook showing a group of men
capture a snake and prepare it to be eaten.

Snake meat is said to taste like a cross between
chicken and fish. Just like most fish, a snake has a
single long spine and very few bones. Next time you
aren’t sure what fish you have been served, double
check to make sure you are not feasting on a breed of
snake.
